The Worlds Smallest Cupola Contest

The first 'Worlds Smallest Cupola Contest' was held at the 2nd conference in 1992 and won by a team from a local foundry in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. There has been one at every conference since then.

       

 

                      

       

Come one, come all........... Bring your tee-tiny furnace to operate during the contest at the conference in hopes of winning the title of WORLD’S SMALLEST CUPOLA!

One Person Operation
          Fueled by air and coke, charcoal, and/or wood only
          Iron must be tapped into a mold (no molds in well)
          No fuel-enriched blast or use of thermite
